This episode features James Evans.
James has a story that I know many can relate to. He wanted to get involved in Real Estate Investing, he saw the power of what it could do for his long-term financial freedom, but he had a W2 job that soaked up the time he needed to really commit himself to it. He knew he wanted to take the next step in Real Estate Investing but needed to get creative on how to find more time to do it. He enjoyed the stability and benefits that his full-time job provided and didn’t want to give that up.
Many beginning investors find themselves in this exact scenario, and many decide it’s all too much trouble to take on. They resign to telling themselves “I would invest in Real Estate if I just didn’t have to spend so much time at work!”. James approached this familiar challenge differently. He negotiated with his boss to start working part-time so he could spend more time building his Portfolio.
The combination of stability and flexibility that arrangement has allowed him has proven to be really powerful. He’s churning through deals and partnering with others to aggressively start building a strong financial foundation in Real Estate.
In this episode he breaks down the decisions he faced when approaching that moment in his career, as well as the pros and cons of what he has experienced since. Wether you faced these specific challenges yourself or not, his insight is encouraging and motivating for anyone!
I hope that in this interview you find practical insights that you can learn from, or directly apply as you continue on your own journey in Real Estate.
I hope you enjoy my conversation with James!
